There can be many issues with your bathroom, and these can end up causing big issues if these are not recognised quickly and dealt with efficiently.  Here we have outlined some of the most common issues:

Leaky Shower Head

Leaky shower heads are a common problem but can end up causing bigger issues if not dealt with quickly. Many people put up with this for a while before dealing with the problem, however, if you do this, it can end up costing you more on your water bills, and cause other issues such as moisture being leaked to unplanned areas, which can create mold issues. Fixing the problem could be as easy as replacing a gasket, so it's always best to contact a qualified plumber to diagnose the problem as soon as you realise there is an issue.

Leaky Faucet

A leaky faucet can be a nuisance but is often ignored by homeowners. Similar to a leaky shower, it is usually easy to fix. It may just be as simple as replacing a part, but sometimes you can be better off with a brand new faucet.

Slow/Blocked Drains

This is a very common problem.  Often a slow/blocked drain is due to hair and debris being lodged in the plumbing. Again, this is often an easy fix, however, sometimes it may require taking your pipes apart to get rid of the hair and debris.

Problems with Low Water Pressure

Often with low water pressure, limescale can be the problem.  A build-up of limescale can affect your water pressure making it appear weak.  However, sometimes a drop of pressure in your boiler can cause this.

Toilet Problems

The toilet, depending on its age, is at risk of a whole host of issues. It could be down to something breaking in the cistern to a simple blockage. A quick plunge can quickly get rid of any blockage but if the problem becomes a smelly one you might want to call out a plumber. To avoid toilet issues regularly check inside your cistern to make sure that everything is working as it should be.

No Hot Water

This isn't always a bathroom problem, but it often can be. It's usually something we notice first thing on a morning as we go to jump into a hot shower! Having no hot water can really affect your daily life. If you have an electric shower, this is the first thing you should check.  Is your shower running cold but your taps are running hot?  If so, then it's your shower that will need fixing.  If all of the water within your home is running cold then it's likely to be an issue with your boiler.
